Load Types > Masses

Selection of a Load Type of the load type group for the definition of masses, which shall be used for calculating the mass matrices for dynamic analyses.

Note: Loads of these load types do not apply to static calculations.
SettingDescription
Conc.nodal mass + mom.of inertia (NDMAS) Definition of a point mass applied at nodes, and any mass moments of inertia of this point mass (principal values related to global axis directions).
Conc.nodal mass + eccentricity (NDMASE) Definition of a point mass eccentrically applied at nodes. It is defined as equivalent point loads acting eccentrically at the node.
Conc.nodal mass (Full tensor of mom. of inertia) (NDMASI) Definition of the tensor of mass moments of inertia related to the  global axis directions
Conc.nodal mass (Diag. tensor + angles) (NDMASA) Definition of the principal values of the mass moments of inertia, and of the respective principal axes directions
Element uniform mass + mom. of inertia (ELMAS) Definition of a uniformly distributed mass applied over the clear length of an element in form of a uniform load and moment.
Element uniform mass + eccentricity (ELMASE) Definition of a uniformly distributed mass applied over the clear length of an element in form of an eccentrically applied uniform load.
